This 1907-1909
Edwardian wedding gown is entirely handmade and fully lined and constructed
with careful attention to detail. The fabric is antique linen with cutwork
and embroidery, and features insets of handmade Venice lace.
The blouson bodice has a high
wedding collar and "Gibson Girl" sleeves both edged in antique fillet lace.
The bodice back is closed with antique mother-of-pearl buttons.
The skirt is enhanced with a
demi-train made more graceful by the ample fabric hidden in the inverted
pleats, which also allow for easy alteration. The edge of the skirt is
beautifully edged with antique Italian fillet lace.
